Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Browsers offer similar mechanisms, such as local storage and session storage. This policy covers all of them, and uses “cookies” to mean any of them.

Reading any public page of emketech.com, including the product pages, the careers pages and this policy, stores nothing in your browser. Sending a message with the support form does not set a cookie on emketech.com either.

We use no analytics or advertising services and no social media widgets, and our fonts are served from emketech.com itself.

The support form’s security check. The support page, and only that page, loads Cloudflare Turnstile from challenges.cloudflare.com to tell people from automated traffic before a message is sent. It runs in a frame served by Cloudflare, not by emketech.com, and emketech.com itself stores nothing in your browser for it. What the check processes is described in Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation. It is strictly necessary to protect the form you have chosen to use.

EmKeTech’s products run at their own addresses ending in emketech.com. They use cookies or browser storage only where the product needs them to work, for example:

• a sign-in cookie, in products that have accounts, to keep you signed in; and
• browser storage, in products that work inside your browser, to keep your work or settings on your own device.

Products do not use cookies or browser storage for advertising or cross-site tracking. A product may publish its own notice listing what it stores; where it does, that notice takes precedence for that product.

In Ireland, the rules on cookies are set by Regulation 5 of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011), which implement the EU ePrivacy Directive. They require consent before storing information in your browser, except where the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly asked for.

emketech.com stores nothing, so there is nothing to ask consent for. The security check on the support form runs only when you open that form, to protect the message you are sending, and so is strictly necessary for the service you asked for. The sign-in cookies and storage used by products are strictly necessary to provide the service the user has asked for, so they fall within that exemption. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it and update this policy first.

Every modern browser lets you view, delete and block cookies and other site data, either for all websites or for particular ones. The settings are usually found under privacy or site data in your browser’s settings or preferences.

Blocking cookies will not affect emketech.com, which sets none. It will prevent signing in to products that have accounts, and clearing site data for a product that works in your browser will remove any work it kept on your device.
